Wadii Sanour
Our main target was reaching to wadi sannur cave ( which located in bani sewef under 60 ft below sea level) and to study the geoelgy of eastern asyut road .
It was the 1st fieldtrip organized to the cave by students in Egypt by AAPG-CUSC students & it’s the third field trip to visit wadi sannur in its history as all. This trip was under supervision of dr. Aly abd El-Moteleb an expert in karstification & caves formation.The aim of this trip is to study caves formation, (stalagmites, stalactites) Eocene era and limestone deposition, karsts and alabaster formation.
